DataSync protects PVC data. It creates a source-side AppBackup, stores backup artifacts in S3-compatible storage, then creates a target-side AppRestore.

Trafficless Restore​

Trafficless Restore restores data into target PVCs through temporary restore pods. It avoids exposing standby workloads to service traffic while data is being synchronized.

Status​

Important status fields include:

  • Current state.
  • Last backup name.
  • Last restore name.
  • Trafficless pod status.
  • Sync history.
  • Conditions and error messages.
